Catherine Bouko is currently Assistant Professor in multilingual communication/French in the department of Translation, Interpretation and Communication at Ghent University. Her general research interests lie in identity and ideology in visual and linguistic discourse practices on social media. She develops a multimodal approach to multilingual corpora of social media content (English and French) through content analysis, discourse analysis and semiotics. She is particularly interested in migration discourses in the Brexit context (2016-2019).
