Training - Food Safety & Risk Management


Controlling food safety is a legal requirement and essential for confidence in the Belgian food industry. However, developing an effective food safety management system requires thorough knowledge and sufficient experience. These are often lacking due to a scarcity of workers with an appropriate previous education.
This micro-credential aims to meet this shortfall and mainly focuses on the systematic approach to hazard identification and evaluation with a focus on microbiological hazards. The latest knowledge from basic research is integrated into practical studies.
The micro-credential is aimed at professionals in the food industry, sector organisations, consultancy and government who are interested in food safety and risk management.
